You can now register for the Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Beta

UPDATE: This was, in fact, the mystery announcement for the game! No new details were included with the presser.

ORIGINAL:

Earlier this week EA teased some kind of mystery announcement for Mirror's Edge Catalyst and while we wait for an official word on what that announcement is, something else has developed. The registration page for the Mirror's Edge Catalyst Closed Beta has gone live on the game's official site.

The Closed Beta will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Origin — this could very well be the announcement we are waiting to hear.

All you need to sign up for the beta is an EA account, which can be created during the beta registration. During sign up, you can choose to opt-in for a newsletter to be sent to your email which will make you a 'Mirror's Edge Catalyst Frontrunner.' According to the sign up page, Frontrunners get early access to exclusive content, in-game rewards and, of course, emails.

Sign up for the Closed Beta here.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is set to release on May 24, 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
