If you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Halo 5: Guardians, there's something you can do to help pass the time; open your REQ packs. If you aren't familiar with the REQ system in Halo 5, it is a system that uses both real-world money and in-game currency (REQ Points/RP) to purchase game altering item packs (REQ packs).
The Halo Waypoint site has been updated for players to be able to open their REQ Packs ahead of the game's launch. You can purchase REQ Points or use the points you already have to grab the Warzone REQ Bundle, a Gold REQ pack, a Silver REQ Pack or a Bronze REQ pack.
REQ Packs can only be used in the Warzone game mode and feature a number of items for players to use in battle. Each pack contains cards that can grant you a specific vehicle, weapon, power-up or cosmetic item (like new armor or helmets).
Before you get worried that the REQ Packs will break the multiplayer game mode, 343 Industries has developed an energy system that will keep players from using item after item. After a player uses a REQ Pack item, they will have to build up the 'energy' to use the card again.
