You can watch the Game of Thrones Season 5 premiere for free on Xbox

Missed out on yesterday's premiere of Game of Thrones Season 5? Forget to sign up for HBO in time for the debut? Fret not, because Microsoft has got you covered.

Starting today, all Xbox LIVE members can watch the Game of Thrones Season 5 premiere for free through April 16. What's more, Xbox and HBO have teamed up to bring Xbox LIVE members "a variety of Game of Throne content in a special experience" this week. This includes trailers, behind-the-scenes interviews, on-set tours, and trivia questions asked by actual Game of Thrones cast members.

As a reminder for those of you without a standard cable or satellite subscription, you can still get HBO in your house through the newly launched Sling TV service. This over-the-top television service launched on Xbox One (and other devices) a month ago, but only recently added an HBO upgrade package for $15 extra per. The HBO package includes live programming as well as VOD content and is another way for Xbox One owners to access Game of Thrones as well as HBO's other content.
