Man, you know it's bad when your brand new console can't even outsell one that's now almost nine years old. But that's the situation Microsoft finds itself in as new sales data for the Japanese market reveals that Microsoft's Xbox One was outsold by Sony's PlayStation 3 for the week of June 8th.
Yes, that's PlayStation 3, with a 3.
According to a chart compiled by 4Gamer, which is based on Media Create data, only 100 Xbox One consoles were sold during the week, which is good enough for dead last when compared to other consoles. The Xbox One was outsold by the Wii U, PS4, Vita, 3DS, and PlayStation 3. Even the Vita TV managed to outsell the Xbox One, so you know things are looking real bad for Microsoft in Japan.
Of course, this should hardly come as a surprise to anyone who's even remotely familiar with the video game industry, as Japan is hardly known for stellar Xbox sales. But still, 100 sales? Sheesh, what can you possibly say about that?
