Publisher Xseed Games has announced a release date for Ys: Memories of Celceta, the latest entry in the 25-year-old Ys series of action role-playing games.
Memories of Celceta launches for PlayStation Vita on Nov. 26 in North America. Usual developer Nihon Falcom made the game, which came out in Japan last year in September. It's slated to hit Europe in early 2014.
The title is a reimagining of Ys 4: Mask of the Sun and Ys 4: The Dawn of Ys, neither of which (including a remake) released in the West. Different developers created each.
Memories of Celceta features a new storyline and an expanded, massive overworld. It's so big that "you could easily fit the combined worlds of every other Ys title to date inside it … several times over, at that," Xseed localization specialist Tom Lipschultz wrote on the PlayStation Blog.
It will cost $40 digitally and in stores. An Ys: Memories of Celceta Silver Anniversary Edition will be available for $60.
