Zack Snyder reassures there’s still plenty of surprises in Batman v. Superman

Also defends Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luthor

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is one of the big movies of 2016 and when the latest trailer dropped, many fans felt it showed a little too much of the plot. But in a recent interview with MTV, Zack Snyder states there is nothing to worry about — there's still plenty of surprises in store.

“I have the benefit of seeing the movie,” Snyder said. “It’s cool that they think it’s too much andI appreciate people not wanting to know, but there’s plenty that they don’t know. There’s a lot of movie that’s not in the trailer.”

Snyder then went on to talk about Jessie Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luthor, which has also come under criticism since the trailer.

“In the trailer, of course he comes across in a very specific way,” said Snyder. “In the movie, he’s like a million times more sophisticated than what you get in 30 seconds. But that’s also the fun of it. That’s why you go to the movies, so you can actually see the context and understand the depth.”

Unlike Marvel, there hasn't been a cinematic universe established for DC comics, yet. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to be the kick off for DC, which will be followed by plenty of other movies like Suicide Squad, Aquaman, The Flash, and a Wonder Woman film in the years to come.
