Zelda Williams Will Livesteam Zelda: Breath of the Wild Today for Charity

Zelda plays Zelda for mental health charity

Actress Zelda Williams will be livestreaming herself playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild today to benefit mental health charity. It begins at 3 PM ET and will be broadcast through the LVLUP Dojo Twitch channel. Not only that, but she also said she had some surprises in store.

She's expressed her enjoyment of the record breaking title so far and has even beaten a few shrines so the stream won't, " be all startup stuff." Her stream will benefit the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, a group that awards grants to scientific research for mental illness.

Many people know Zelda through her father, Robin Williams's legendary work as an actor. He was also known as a gamer, and particularly a fan of the Legend of Zelda franchise, from which his daughter's name was inspired. We tragically lost Robin to an incident linked to his mental health in 2014.

Robin and Zelda's love for the Legend of Zelda series was no secret, and Nintendo used it in an ad for Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS.

Don't miss Zelda William's stream today at 3 PM ET/12 PM PT.
