Zipper Interactive, makers of the popular PlayStation-exclusive shooter, SOCOM, have officially announced that SOCOM 4 has been delayed until 2011.
Jeremy Dunham, Senior Community Manager at Zipper Interactive, posted on the game’s official blog to inform fans about the delay. The developer says that while they know many were hoping for a 2010 release they, “don’t want to take any shortcuts.” They say that they plan to release “the best and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can” and will utilize the extra development time to improve the game.
The assure fans that they will keep them updated on the progress of the game, and that “it will be worth the wait.”
