Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana may have just accidentally revealed the title for Avengers 4 and in turn, spoiled the ending for Infinity War. Over the weekend, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed the reason they hadn't revealed the title for Avengers 4 was because it's a pretty big spoiler for Infinity War.
With all of that said, you probably should tune out if you don't want to have Infinity War potentially spoiled. Still here? Ok. Speaking at a press event for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Saldana revealed that the Guardians have finished their part in Infinity War but will be returning to shoot new scenes for Infinity War's sequel which she called… Gauntlet. It's entirely possible she just misspoke, but in case she didn't… here's what this probably means.
The Guantlet she is probably referring to is the Infinity Gauntlet which we've seen briefly in the movies. The Infinity Gauntlet is a big gold glove in possession of Thanos (the villain of Infinity War) and it has little holes that are supposed to be filled by the Infinity Stones. Once the glove is filled with each gem, you're pretty much unstoppable.
With that knowledge, one can imply that this means by the end of Infinity War that Thanos gets all of the Infinity Stones and posses unlimited power. Of course, this is speculation but it's unlikely it cold mean anything else considering Feige said the title is indeed a spoiler.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to release in May of 2018 and Avengers 4 (or Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet) is set to release in May of 2019.
