8 guest characters we want in Killer Instinct Season 3

Who's gonna party with Rash?

Nick Ramos – Dead Rising

Los Perdidos' own zombie slicing machine. It would be a sin if Nick isn't included in Killer Instinct. I mean, really. How many different ways are there available for him to fight with all of the different weapons he made at his disposable. Nick is the MacGyver of zombie kills with his intuitive weapon combinations and kills, and it's a no brainer to include him in the game. Many people may say Frank West, but I prefer Nick's gameplay in the third game. The only thing limiting Nick and his gameplay in Killer Instinct would be the imagination of the developers. Since Microsoft owns Dead Rising, I don't see this being a problem and Nick would, in my opinion anyway, be the most played character if included only for the "I have to see this" factor.

Marius Titus – Ryse: Son of Rome

Rome's beloved son MUST be in this season.  The main character is Xbox One exclusive (and PC) Ryse: Son of Rome has the brutal nature to be in Killer Instinct. After seeing his family murdered by the Barbarians, Marius seeks revenge and goes on a one man mission to win the war for the Romans. To this day, Ryse is still the best looking game I've ever played graphically. Even if you weren't a fan of the QTE style gameplay in Ryse, there is no denying that his style fits perfectly in with Killer Instinct. Equipped with both a shield and sword, Marius would have many possibilities for combos. Oh, and let's not forget. Ryse took place during the Roman gladiator era. The game had some of the sickest and most brutal kills I've ever seen in a game. As great as they were, including them in a fighting game would make them even better. Start the trend, #MariusinKI

Who do you want to see in Killer Instinct Season 3? Let us know below. And seriously, start #MariusinKI trending. This needs to happen STAT.

Killer Instinct Season 3 launches this March on both Xbox One and PC.

locust

Locust

After all, KI has to have bad guys as well. The normal grunt and also the Boomer locust would make an interesting add on for Killer Instinct. I know most people associate Marcus and crew with Gears, but there wouldn't be Gears without Locust and there is plenty of ammo available for their attacks. Imagine if they included the Torque bow shooting Locust with the hissing breathing? Now we're cookin' with gas.

The Agent – Crackdown

Equipped with special bio-armor that modifies their appearance and enhances weapons, the agents from Crackdown would hold up pretty well in Killer Instinct. Agents are physically stroger and faster than normal people and would automatically have an advantage in the fight. Plus, there is no exact look for the Agent as their appearance changes with their skill upgrades. With both weapon and physical combat skills, the bio-armor makes  a perfect set up for Instinct mode and would allow Agents to fly right into Killer Instinct.

Arbiter

Let's be honest, there is no way that Master Chief gets put into Killer Instinct no matter how much you ask or want him to. Certain characters just aren't shown with extreme vulnerabilities and he's one of them. On the other side, I think Arbiter should be thrown in there and it's pretty obvious that he will be. The official Killer Instinct Youtube account released a video a few days ago teasing Arbiter in some gameplay action as well. At this point, we know how this works. Arbiter is coming but it's a matter of waiting to see the full reveal and not just a tease.

cole

Cole Train

I mean, this has to be obvious. Other than Halo, Gears of War is Microsoft's biggest franchise and offers a host of characters to choose from. Excluding Dom for obvious reasons, Cole or Marcus would make excellent additions to Killer Instinct. Just think about how much goodness would come to Killer Instinct if the Torque Bow and Chainsaw based Lancer Assault Rifle were thrown into play. Oh, and let's not forget about the Hammer of Dawn, shall we people? All of this combined with Cole-train and his classic "WHOOOOOOOOOO!!" at the end of an Ultra. The best part about Killer Instinct characters is that although they are hugely popular, they still don't fall into the Master Chief category of vulnerabilities. This makes them both easy additions to tie in without making fans of Gears of War upset.

With the announcement of guest characters in Killer Instinct Season 3 this March, we were left wondering who else would make the jump into the franchise. Since Microsoft owns Rare and Killer Instinct now, remember these will be mainly Xbox exclusive characters. So, no comments on how we forgot Kratos or something because PlayStation-exclusive characters can't be included.  Let us know what you think at the end and who you would want in the game.

Enjoy!

Joanna Dark – Perfect Dark

Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero classic character and duel gun wielding, bad ass chick. She has everything you need. After all, her dad is both an ex-marine and ex-cop who now runs his own bail bonds.  Joanna has both up close melee attacks as well as ranged striked with her guns. After Rare and Microsoft threw Rash from Battletoads into season 3 of Killer Instinct, there is no reason we can't see some other classic characters from the Rare franchise as well. If it's been a while, be sure to catch up on both the original and sequel Perfect Dark Zero on Rare Replay.

Donkey Kong

I still have no clue why Donkey Kong Country wasn't included in Rare Replay (okay, maybe some contractual licensing issues), but now Microsoft has the chance to make up for it. Something about hardcore fighting and up close smashing that just has good ole' D.K. written all over it. Plus, there are a lot of options available for Donkey Kong. You have your roll attacks, jump strikes, barrel throws etc. Also, how cool would it be to see Donkey Kong end an Ultra combo with a barrel smash over the head or pulling out Diddy Kong for an assist? We'd also get an answer to the age old question, Who would win in a fight Donkey Kong or Rash? Ok, I just made that up but it would still be fun to see.
