Barely a day after Call of Duty: World at War’s Map Pack 3 hit Xbox Live, talk of the Modern Warfare 2 Map Packs is picking up. In a conference call, Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith stated; “We plan to launch two separate map packs for this title.” Although the quote is a little sparse for details, they don’t seem to be taking the Treyarch path of releasing three downloadable add-ons.
Although no other details have been released, we can probably expect the Modern Warfare 2 DLC to be quite different than the World at War content. Frankly, I think Modern Warfare 2 could release as many DLC packages as they wanted and they would still make a bagillion dollars. That is if a certain Mr. Kotick doesn’t raise the price of a $10 Map Pack.
