Bratz Ships Out For Nintendo Systems

THQ has announced today that shipping has begun for their multiplatform title Bratz Forever Diamondz on the Nintendo DS, GameCube, and GameBoy Advance systems, along with the Playstation 2.

The game is based off the upcoming Bratz Passion 4 Fashion Diamondz DVD movie set to release later this month as well as the current line of toys in the franchises fashion doll line.

“The Bratz interactive debut shipped nearly 1.4 million units and was the number one video game franchise for girls in 2005,” said John Ardell, director of global brand management, THQ. “With the recent release of MGA’s new BRATZ: Forever Diamondz fashion dolls and the upcoming DVD launch, we see even more momentum surrounding the Bratz universe, positioning the Bratz Forever Diamondz cross-platform game release for greater success.”

The game sees characters from the series such as Jasmin, Cloe, and Jade travel across the country in an effort to find the most talented young fashion designer. Featuring four characters, each with their own individual storylines, Bratz Forever Diamondz will incorporate a variety of new features not present in previous games based on the franchise.

“The Bratz Forever Diamondz video game serves to further enhance the value of our incredibly popular Bratz brand,” said Isaac Larian, chief executive officer, MGA Entertainment. “THQ has a proven ability to create and deliver unique gameplay experiences for the growing market of young female gamers, who now make up more than 38 percent of all video game players, according to the Entertainment Software Association.”

Bratz Forever Dimondz has been rated “E” for everyone by the ESRB and will be available at retail locations throughout the country tomorrow.
