Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Expected By Holidays

Sick of wading through spawn kills, waves of ‘nades, and Juggernoobs on Call of Duty: World At War? You’re not alone in this sentiment. Fortunately, these dark times will be coming to an end soon, friend. According to Activision’s Thomas Tippl, we can expect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by the holidays. If you start stocking up on Cheetos and Sprite now, you could be a gold cross by New Year’s Day!

Kotaku brings us Tippl’s words from the annual Wedbush Morgan Securities’ annual meeting. He believes that Activision’s “leap-frogging development” between Treyarch and Infinity Ward has truly paid off. This is true in many ways, though many were lukewarm at first to news that Treyarch would be handling World At War.

Tippl went on to laud the upcoming sequel to the wildly successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, in that it is looking incredible and that Infinity Ward is doing an “unbelievable job.” We can look forward to a release during the holidays this year! Fantastic news, as I for one can’t wait to dive back into the world of Modern Warfare. Bolt-actions and dogs are beginning to wear just a bit thin on my nerves.
