Last week Square-Enix unveiled a new Final Fantasy spinoff title based on the fictional Chocobo characters. The company is moving full steam ahead by launching an official Japanese teaser site for the upcoming DS game, which can be reached right here.
The site is admittedly a bit empty at the moment. There is a pair of Chocobo eyes follow your cursor around, while clicking around at various points on the site causes Chocobo feathers to fall from to top to the bottom of the screen. There is also a unique theme song to boot.
If you read Japanese, you’ll notice something tucked into the corner of the page. A tiny message bubble on the right side of the screen promises the sites full opening sometime in September. This suggests a Tokyo Game Show presence for this latest Final Fantasy spinoff.
