Microsoft today announced the availability of the demo for EA’s newest Xbox 360 RTS offering, Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars.
Available free of charge to all Xbox Live Gold members (excluding those in Asia), the demo gives gamers a chance to try out a piece of EA’s latest game in the popular series. Set in the year 2047, players will make their way back to the expansive Tiberium Universe, choosing a side in the epic struggle between the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod.
EA is looking to capitalize on the foundation laid down by last year’s The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II for the 360, a successful if not ground-breaking real-time strategy experience. Other notable features include an involving multiplayer campaign featuring voice-over IP, an improved control scheme, and integrated clan-support.
Gamers looking to purchase the full version of the game only have to wait until May 10, when the final product will ship to retails nationwide. Stay tuned to Advanced Media Network for complete coverage.
