Sony’s Jason Villa, Producer of MLB 08: The Show, has shared some new details on the newly introduced custom soundtrack feature for this year’s title.
“Each year we try to incorporate features that allow you to customize our MLB The Show franchise to your specifications. Making a soundtrack to satisfy all players, from all walks of life, is nearly impossible. So, in an effort to please all fans of the MLB The Show franchise, we are offering the new My MLB Music feature. My MLB Music will allow you to take the music you have on your PlayStation 3 Hard Drive or on your PSP Memory Stick Pro Duo and create your own Jukebox Playlist. From the Jukebox screen below, just press the circle button to activate the My MLB Music feature.”
After you activate the My MLB music feature, you can create a new playlist, load an existing one, or edit an existing playlist. While on the My MLB music screen, you can also organize your music by Artist, Genre, Album, or Song. From there, select the tracks your want on your custom soundtrack and save it.
If you don’t have any good sport music, don’t worry because the game will still feature some great music from The Ramones, WAR, ZZ Top, and many more.
MLB 08: The Show will be releasing on March 4, but for those of us who can’t wait that long, Sony will be releasing a playable demo for the PS3 and PSP tomorrow. Stay tuned for more on MLB 08: The Show.
