Nippon Ichi Software has annnounced via press release the development of Disgaea 3 for the PlayStation 3. A sequel to the series’ PlayStation 2 installments, Disgaea 3 retains the sprite characters and simple 3D backgrounds of its predecessors.
Disgaea 3 is expected to launch this winter in Japan at a retail price of 6800 yen (roughly $55). No plans for American release have been disclosed at this time.
