Doom 3 is currently rocking the PC first-person shooter field, but it’s now looking increasingly certain that Xbox gamers will have to wait until next year for their slice of the action.
id Software supremo Todd Hollenshead recently told Reuters: “It [Doom 3 on Xbox] is probably not going to come out this year. Back in May, we were kind of hoping we’d have a holiday launch. I’m not sure we’re going to get there.”
Up until now Hollenshead has always chosen his words carefully when commenting on the Xbox version’s release, not committing one way or the other. However, his latest comments seem to mark a distinct shift and unfortunately for Xbox gamers, it’s certainly towards the negative.
