ESRB Rates A Boy and His Blob for Wii

An NES cult favorite could be heading over to Nintendo Wii, according to the Entertainment Software Ratings Board’s web site.

It appears that Majesco recent submitted A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia to the ESRB for a rating and was deemed by the board as appropriate for Everyone with no qualifying descriptors. While this game does share the exact title of its NES predecessor, it isn’t clear yet whether this Majesco title is merely being prepped as a Virtual Console release of if it’s a new remake of the game for a WiiWare or traditional release.

As Majesco hasn’t made any official announcement regarding a Boy and His Blob release, the game’s existence isn’t set in stone just yet. We’ll report back if there’s any update.
