Despite being helmed by the same man behind the box-office flop House of the Dead, director Uwe Boll is attracting some great talent to his adaptation of Majesco’s vampire shooter, BloodRayne.
While both Kristanna Loken and Sir Ben Kingsley have been cast for major parts of the film, various other actors have just been named. Micheal Madsen of Kill Bill fame will be playing Vladimir, a famous vampire hunter who teams up with Sebastian, played by Matt Davis. Davis has appeared in such films as Pearl Harbor, Legally Blonde, and Urban Legends.
Finally, Michelle Rodriguez who recently played a part in Atari’s Driv3r as well as Resident Evil, plays Katarin; a woman who runs the local Brimstone Society chapter that trained Bloodrayne as an assassin.
The film is scheduled to start shooting next month, so only time will tell if this project becomes another blemish on the video game-to-movie report card.
