Cartoon Network Racer Announced

The Game Factory has announced an international publishing agreement with Cartoon Network to both publish and develop a new arcade racer based around the station’s intellectual property.

Tentatively known as Cartoon Network Racer, the forthcoming racing title is currently in development for the Playstation 2 and Nintendo DS gaming systems. The game is set to include characters from popular television shows such as The Powerpuff Girls, Cow & Chicken, Courage, the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, and even Dexter’s Laboratory.

Targeted to release sometime during the next holiday season, Cartoon Network Racer is aiming to provide gamers with a new and exciting arcade racing experience. The Game Factory has confirmed that the upcoming racing title will offer both an extensive multiplayer mode, as well as an advanced track editor to contribute to the title’s replay value.

“With its #1 and #2 ranking among television networks across more than 160 countries around the world, Cartoon Network is a key brand in kid’s lives—much more than simply their favorite television channel,” said John Friend, Senior Vice President for Cartoon Network Enterprises “This new partnership with THE GAME FACTORY brings multiple opportunities for Cartoon Network fans to race and play with some of their best loved characters in a video game.”
