Life With Playstation Updated

The PS3’s Life With Playstation application has been updated with new media features to enhance the channels added in the previous update.

For North American users the most significant addition to the 1.20 update is the ability for channels to contain videos. This is primarily represented in the new Playstation Network Game Trailers channel – a menu of all the streaming trailers available for games buyable on Playstation Network. Users can even buy the games on their PSN pages without closing down Life With Playstatin.

Another channel that uses the video playback feature reportedly is United Village which lets users view photos and read stories about connected cultures all over the globe. This channel will now be able to contain videos.
The other major feature in this update is photo slideshows that can be viewed in the channels like United Village.

For those who haven’t touched Life With Playstation in a while, the previous update – 1.10, added the United Village and World Heritage channels. World Heritage lets users look at photos and read articles about the national treasures of countries all over the planet.

In its original incarnation, Life With Playstation simply included the Folding @ Home application and the LIVE Channel – a sort of combination between the Wii’s news and wather channels.
