So long as we’re on the topic of the PlayStation 3 bundle for Metal Gear Solid 4, here’s another tidbit for you.
According to SCEA PR Manager Al De Leon, “Yes, similar to the MotorStorm bundle, the new MGS4 bundle features an 80GB PS3 with some PS2 backwards compatibility,” he revealed in a reply to a comment on the announcement in the PlayStation blog.
This would seem to fall in line with their previous statements about the importance of backwards compatibility, made after Sony had begun to remove the feature from units such as the 40GB package.
