The sports game studio, responsible for titles such as NFL Fever and NHL Rivals, was closed earlier this week and the employees were notified verbally that their jobs end Oct. 25. Specialists are helping them to find other jobs within Microsoft, the company informed. The studio in Utah that develops Links and Amped is unaffected by the cuts, a Microsoft spokeswoman said.
This cut follows Microsoft’s decision to cancel its lineup of XSN Sports titles and the deal with Electronic Arts to bring EA SPORTS titles to Xbox Live.
