So, everything I said I’d play last week? I think I got it almost entirely wrong. I did play a little Kirby’s Adventure, but everything else? Nada.
Most of my time went right into Animal Crossing: City Folk. Sure, it’s similar to its predecessors, but as I said in the review, that’s not necessarily bad. I got caught up in the fishing tournament on Saturday (which I won– go, me!), and spent yesterday hunting down Easter Eggs for Zipper T. Bunny. Now I have a complete room that makes me crave Cadbury Cream Eggs and Deviled Eggs whenever I step inside.
Apparently, it’s a little contagious, too; my wife finally returned to the game as well, and it’s hard to blame her, as the game is kind of relaxing in a way. And things feel much more lively in the Spring, if you want my opinion.
I didn’t get to touch Wii Play, but I did wind up tossing in– of all things– my GameCube copy of Midway Arcade Treasures, volume 1. Had some fun with Spy Hunter, Joust and Joust II (Balloon Fight is still better), Roadblasters, and more as I wondered exactly how the company was able to fall so far into despair.
