Part 3 – Tiamat!
I can not emphasize this enough. STAY AWAY FROM THE CLERICS!!!!! This section has clerics that need to be protected so they can gather their strength. Once all 3 have max energy, Tiamat is brought forth from the background and can be attacked. Have all players start at the left, black dragon and all out focus their attack. Do not kill it right away, though. Stop with about half of the one bar of energy left, about 10% health. Now go to the next dragon and do the same. Go as far as you can in the few minutes; the game gives you until the time runs out. You will now need to protect the clerics again and repeat the process until Tiamat is dead before the 20 minutes are up.
This is where gear score comes in. If you are under 13k gear score you really shouldn't even try Tiamat because you're just going to mess it up for everyone and fail after wasting 25 minutes. While defending the clerics, DO NOT STAND NEAR THEM. Back away to draw the mobs away from them. The more damage they take the longer it takes to fill up the meter and you fail as you run out of time. Try and use a guardian fighter's tank ability to draw them away. If you fight on the clerics, the enemies come to them and attack them and poof — you are all dead and fail.
You should be able to raise the clerics strength two separate times and lower all 5 dragon heads to the level needed. If not and you require a 3rd time that's fine. You should have enough time if you follow these rules and only the white dragon at the far right should have health left. At this point, have everyone follow their original colors and attack the dragons. Five players should be enough with the time left to take out their remaining health. Once defeated, now go assist the white dragon players to take out the rest of the health.
If done correctly, it should consume 17 to 18 minutes of the 20 minute time limit. Remember, DON'T STAND NEAR THE CLERICS and you'll be fine. Also, do not use Astral seal on the dragons as it will cause the game to lag and thus lower your dps, increasing the time it will take to kill Tiamat.
Follow these trusty guidelines and you'll defeat Tiamat and recover some precious loot. Contribute as much to the dragon hoard as you can because doing so grants you Linu favor which you can use to purchase artifact offhand weapons should you not get them in a loot drop from the Temple. Also, it's a community effort. Once you reach the threshold which is indicated at the top right of your screen, you unlock higher tier items. Tier IV is the highest you can go and the contributions are reset every 7 days. The countdown left is also indicated on screen. Good luck Neverwinterans and make sure Tiamat doesn't make her way into this realm!
Part 2 – Fight time
Tiamat has finally landed on Xbox One's version of Neverwinter and is already giving players fits. There is a solid strategy that needs to be adhered to or you pretty much are going to fail right off the bat. We put together a handy strategy guide for all to use and if you pay attention to the in-game chat, you'll probably see some more guidance in there as well.
It can be frustrating for those players who are experienced with high gear scores only to have lower gear score players standing where they shouldn't and directly causing a wipe. This is especially true considering that the Temple of Tiamat only opens at the top of every hour and takes 25 minutes to complete. Follow these guidelines and you'll be fine. I promise.
