Nintendo DS: 3 Million In Japan

Last week’s hardware numbers have indicated that the Nintendo DS has sold over 3 million units. Sales figures for the week of 8/22 – 8/28 can be seen below.

DS – 57,313
PS2 – 27,161
PSP – 20,322
GBASP – 11,144
GC – 2,586
GBA – 652
Xbox – 130

For the year, the DS has sold 1,520,298 units in Japan. Since the launch of the system 3,015,894 systems have been sold in Japan alone.
