mknkAccording to Cheap Ass Gamer forum-poster tubtub, Nintendo has sent out physical proof of printed promotional material to several major retailers, including Toys ‘R Us, announcing a nationwide price-drop to $129.99, $20 cheaper than the current MSRP.
Whether or not the price-drop would be effective permanently (unlike the Super Mario 64 DS bundle), the CAG veteran believes the price-drop comes into effect around August 21st.
This comes hot on the heels of the website’s eventually confirmed report of a Nintendo DS/Super Mario 64 DS bundle, which was then followed up with another possible rumor – Metroid Prime: Hunters becoming the second title to be officially bundled with the dual-screen handheld.
Although this breaking tidbit could end up falling through, it’s safe to say that Cheap Ass Gamers’ “spies” may really be onto something here. Again, no official word from Nintendo on any future announcements regarding pricing promotions, but DS Advanced will stick to this story for the latest.
