It’s no secret that the new Nintendo DS Lite version of the handheld has been practically taking over the world with incredible sales, and this has made many people wonder just whether Nintendo will continue to manufacture and sell the original version of the hardware.
When it comes to Europe, the question is even more pertinent, as unlike elsewhere, only a 10 GBP price difference separates the old version from the new version. However, a Nintendo UK spokesman informed GamesIndustry.biz that the company has no intentions of abandoning the older model and insists that the old DS still has a role to play in the company’s future plans.
Advanced Media will continue to keep tabs on Nintendo’s plans for the older model and will update you once we receive any new information. Please stay tuned for more in the coming months.its cool
