You might have heard about Xbox Live Marketplace’s Black Friday sale, which is going on now. Problem is, it’s only going on now in the US, and that has some people unhappy, particularly those around the world (such as in Europe) who have to pay more as it is.
Why is that, Microsoft?
Well, according to Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, it’s due to “a lot of issues”. Which he doesn’t get specific over. But which probably boil down to the fact a Thanksgiving sale in Europe wouldn’t make much sense. Still. A Bank Holiday sale next year would go a long way to making amends. — Kotaku
*knock-knock* Hi, this is Canada. We’re not in Europe; we’re actually right above you, on the same continent, in the same region. As it happens, we have Thanksgiving, too, albeit about a month and a half or so earlier.
Of course, we don’t have Black Friday here (and thank God for that), so I guess it stands to reason we wouldn’t have a Black Friday sale, but I don’t think anyone would particularly mind, as unless I’m mistaken, Canada and Europe don’t usually see sales that correspond with any holidays on their calendars, either.
Frankly, I’m more upset at the principle of the thing. All I really want would be the Sonic Unleashed theme, and even then, that depends on what it looks like.
