PAX East 2015: Jessica Nigri talks Gigantic with developer Motiga

One of the surprise games that caught our attention at PAX East 2015 this year was Gigantic. Having seen little of the upcoming online action game from Motiga, we were anxious to go hands-on with it on the show floor.

The premise of the game is fairly simple. It's a team-based action game where heroes fight for supremacy on a map. Capturing specific points and eliminating enemy characters help earn your team points that are eventually used to spawn a massive guardian. You must protect your team's magical behemoth as you charge across the battlefield and crush the enemy guardian. It's that simple; but, what makes Gigantic unique are the characters in which you can play as. Similar to games like League of Legends and Overwatch, the true replay value comes in the form of the characters you play as. Although the overall premise of spawning a guardian remains the same, the types of characters you select and your team comp can drastically alter your gameplay experience.

After playing a few rounds, Jessica Nigri sat down to talk about the upcoming game, which is set to release on Xbox One and Windows 10.
