Personal Batcaves Coming to Playstation Home With Other Updates

Playing the PS3 version of the upcoming Batman Arkham Asylum will unlock the Batcave as a personal space in Playstation Home. This adds to the game’s favoritism towards Sony’s platform.

The Batcave is a base of operations, a home, so instead of a single, public place for everyone in Home to visit, each person who plays the game on PS3 will get their own. It will be similar to their virtual apartment, except with at Batmobile in it. No details have been given thus far on what you will be able to do with it.

This comes on top of the previous announcement of a playable Joker being exclusive to the PS3 version of Arkham Asylum. These come as a sort of counter, however minor, to the Xbox 360’s many timed exclusives and content exclusive to its versions of games.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift will also be getting its own public space in Playstation Home for a limited time. Every Monday at 6 and 10p.m. PST it will host launching parties. The space will also feature footage from the game and game launching from Home into Pacific Rift itself.

Other content coming to Home includes updates to the Central Plaza along with new things for sale at the mall like clothes and what Sony calls animated furniture. The EA Sports space will receive an upgrade and the game Burn Zombie Burn will receive a space. New video content will also show up at the theater including part of the upcoming TV event The 5 Lives of Chris Angel: Mindfreak.
