Today, Sega released details regarding the pricing-structure for Phantasy Star Universe.
Xbox 360 owners will likely be disappointed to hear that, in addition to the $50 yearly fee for Xbox Live, they will have to lease a ‘Guardian’s License’ for $9.99 a month to play PSU online. Furthermore, the game will retail for the full $59.99.
There is an upside however. On October 11th and Octorber 12th, a free open beta will be available for download on the Xbox Live marketplace. Players will have until October 18th to sample the gameplay free of charge.
