Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire brought around a new feature to the established game series, it brought the ancient transformations known as Primal Reversion.
While Pokémon X and Y introduced the Mega Evolution (taking Pokémon themselves to the next level), Primal Reversion brings Pokémon back to a more basic state.
For a Pokémon to go through Primal Reversion is must be holding the right Orb. The Primal Reversion happened automatically after Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon enter battle and after effects are released on Pokémon. The Primal Reversion won't be limited to one event per battle like the Mega Evolution, it can be done as many times as possible.
