This may be a signal that the PR folks at Ubisoft are still out on holiday, because this is clearly an idea that slipped through more than a few of those infamous bureaucratic corporate marketing controls.
Right now if you pre-order Haze, Ubisoft’s upcoming PS3 shooter centered around a battle enhancement drug known as “Nectar,” you also get a free hypodermic needle! Ok, it’s actually a pen, but whatever.
Unfortunately for intravenous-loving North America, the offer currently only appears to be available through Ubisoft’s European Store – presumably because releasing such a product in the US would create a surge of worthless legal cases in our already inundated-with-frivolous-lawsuits court system. Check out the link for a picture of the product which is being offered at the horrendous price of GBP 50 (over $100 USD), meaning it’s going to cost Americans a good bit extra to get their hands on that offensive pen. Just don’t take it to work.
