Siren for PS3 Confirmed Prematurely

As Sony’s Japanese website continues to count down towards a mysterious something-or-other, it turns out that the gaming press might have jumped the gun and let the surprise out just a little bit early. Which makes one wonder why they continue to let us hold secrets like this.

Famitsu (of course) let the cat out of the bag with their upcoming issue, which features a nice two-page spread for Siren New Translation, and reveals that it’s already 90% done, thanks in no small part to the fact that it’s actually a reworking of the first game, we figure.

A demo will be released on April 24th, with the title hitting shelves this Summer on July 24th, three months later. Meanwhile, there’s the clock… just under 37 hours and counting as of this writing, but will anything new come of it? Or has the suspense just been cut short?
