Do you own any third-party Xbox 360 memory cards, like the Datel one you see to your right? Well, after the new Xbox 360 update hits next month (or earlier for some) those memory cards will be absolutely and completely useless.
Major Nelson made the announcement, as well as letting users know to transfer their data to an authorized Microsoft storage device (such as a 512MB Memory Card or HDD) before the update hits, as they will not be able to access the cards, or any data on them. Xbox 360 update preview recipients aren’t immune to this fact either, the good Major warns. Those with these cards should also probably consider trading them in to GameStop while they can still get value out of them…until GameStop reads this message and instantly makes them untrade-able. Damn them!
