This is… Risk of Rain

Roguelikes aren't really a new thing, but Risk of Rain brings a new concept to the genre. You still have your permanent death and randomized levels, but now things get harder and harder as time goes on. What starts as a lovely stroll through a pixelated world turns into an absolute nightmare as you scream at the top of your lungs and beg enemies to leave you alone for two seconds.

We'll have a full review of the game pretty shortly, should I find the time to put the controller down and write it. For now, here's some thoughts on the game, as well as nearly ten minutes of footage.
