Today’s top 10 tweets from the gaming industry – 5/11/12

What did you miss about video games today? What were some of the gaming industry's most popular people tweeting about? I'll give you 10 tweets I found awesome, informative, weird, funny, stupid, or whatever, and then I'll give some commentary on it. Also, we've gotten a few submissions from fans that have been retweeted by developers, publishers, or other gaming journalists; so as long as I have one to put up, I'll include a fan submission too.

Happy Friday everyone!

Funny, no one seems qualified to me right now. I'm voting Lewis Black or Steven Colbert in 2012.

That's the thing that's going to push you over the edge? Every Dane Cook character — heck, Dance Cook himself — is a version of a chauvinist DJ. I've seen his two previous TV pilots, so don't worry, this show will crash and burn.

Yay videogames?

For a second, I read this as "Welcome to crazy pants Lance"… which is what all my friends call me.

Something you wanna tell me, Matt? Guess I know why he paid so much attention to the North Carolina gay marriage bill.

Suspicions confirmed.

This is great news!!! Now what about Community?! Don't let me down NBC…

Really? Another Mario Tennis game? Call me crazy, but I don't think Mario would be the cover athlete of a Tennis game — he doesn't look like he has a lot of lateral quickness…

Hey, we here at GameZone have them t — … oh, nevermind.

Tweet of the Day

tweet

Our Tweet of the Day goes out to @RichIGN, who you should all be following. Rich, if you want to improve things for me and you love bad feedback, then I will say this: back when Twisted Metal released, IGN gave the whole audience a copy of the game. We here at GameZone never received our copy and was told that "they don't have any review copies of the game left." I believe we were supposed to receive a copy, but you guys might have given it away to your audience. Mistakes happen.

In all seriousness, I love that the nav bar scrolls with the page now. Also, things for me will be improved if you hire me and cover my moving expenses. And my brother — because I'm sure he'll love San Fran.
