Tomb Raider: Legend will be the 6th game in the classic series and hopes to revitalize the franchise with a new adventure, new character design, and updated gameplay,

In the tradition of Indiana Jones, Lara Croft will be embarking on a high-risk quest to retrieve an artifact of great power. Taking place in South American, this adventure will be more character-focused than previous versions and aims to shed more light on Lara’s history and future.

Lara has undergone a makeover of sorts. She will be more detailed than ever before and her famously comic-book physique will be toned down to more realistic proportions. She’ll be sporting a new brown outfit rather than her trademarked teal top from previous games. Fans of the old Lara will still be able to see the old outfit in a series of flashback sequences in Legend.

Early reports of the gameplay show that it is shaping up to be a game that is not purely focused on action, but also has stronger puzzle solving elements. In addition, the new real-time physics engine should allow players to interact with the environment in a more realistic manner than in previous games.
