In a recent Reuters news report, Reuters reports Nintendo will mature it’s advertising by launching ads with the tagline “Touching is Good”. In the teasers that will launch on Monday, a female voice urges the viewer to “come a little closer and get a feel”. Nintendo will launch longer, more detailed commercials starting November 18th. The teaser and full ads will appear on many shows (possibly theatres as well). Nintendo will also launch the ads on mature T.V. shows such as “South Park”.
Nintendo’s vice president of marketing, Perrin Kaplan commented,
“When you’re a kid you’re always told you can’t touch anything, touching is good. You’re grown-up now, so read it how you want.”
