For all you know, I could’ve just said some very deprecating things about your mother, and you never would’ve known. The quoted utterance above is spoken predominately by the Rabbid, a rabbit-like creature with bulbous eyes and an obsession with toilet plungers. Despite their inability to speak more than a single unintelligible phrase, they’ve become a B-grade phenomenon, supplanting Rayman, whose coattails they rode right into semi-stardom.
After two successful Wii outings, as well as a couple of DS iterations and a 360 port, the Rabbids are returning, and if the trailer is any indication, the little buggers have worked up a sizeable hunger…for Wii Balance Boards?
Okay, so maybe this particular Rabbid was just curious, but it seems likely that Ubisoft’s newly released trailer is pointing to a Wii Balance Board component in the next Rayman Raving Rabbids. If nothing else, it should be innovative, as I’m not sure ingestion was what Nintendo had in mind when they first cried “Eureka!” upon hatching their plan to resuscitate the weight-loss craze.
It’s important to note, however, that Ubisoft has made no official announcement about Raving Rabbids 3. Even so, I think this one’s a fairly sure bet, as Reggie Fils-Aime, earlier this year, announced that 10 Balance Board-based games were being hammered together as he spoke.
