Vivendi Universal released its preliminary financial statement for the final quarter of 2005 today and while no specifics on how much can be attributed to profits, the quarter was successful.
VU Games a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal attributes the successful quarter on the smash hit title World of Warcraft, as well as other titles including F.E.A.R., 50 Cent: Bulletproof, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and Crash Tag Team Racing. Revenues increased from $564 million to $775 million (475 million euros to 641 million euros), a thirty-five percent increase in earnings for the fiscal year.
VU Games only is a small division compared to the conglomerate of Vivendi Universal, who’s major earnings are made in the film, music, and telecommunications industries; which showed little earnings as a whole. raad.ali21@yahoo.com
