Walmart to Sell Exclusive AC/DC Rock Band Expansion Disc
kombo -
Retail giant Walmart has secured the exclusive rights to a Rock Band expansion disc featuring the legendary rock group AC/DC and songs from its Live at Donnington DVD.
As part of an MTV and Columbia Records agreement, Walmart and partner Sam's Club will be the sole retailers of the AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, which will allegedly carry a price point of $40. Judging from the title of the game, it appears the disc will be a standalone version of Rock Band that will not require the Rock Band 1 or Rock Band 2 discs to be played. This has not been confirmed by MTV Games or Harmonix.
AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack is set to release at Walmarts everywhere sometime in November, with specific platforms of release not yet announced. For the record, Rock Band 2 is currently available on Xbox 360, with versions for PlayStation 3 and Wii planned for release by the end of the year. More word on which systems the game will release on as information becomes available.
